I have a tandem one and can’t recommend it enough as it’s as narrow as a normal one, so you can still navigate it easily and get it into smaller spaces than you would with a double width one
If you can try them in a shop definitely do so. Also research what layouts you can do with the seats to see what suits your wants. I looked at a few tandem prams and found them heavy and very high up. I have a bugaboo donkey and love it. There's some areas it doesn't fit through as a double like a bike width restriction or my front door but fits everywhere else. Seats lay flat parent facing but not completely flat world facing. But I loved that it could be a single or a double but it is wide but all side by sides seem to be about the same width wise
I think if a bugaboo is an option financially go with that
Not in this group but I did have the bugaboo. I didn’t get on with it but mostly because they wouldn’t fit through some doors however that could just be a uk thing 😅
I have the Baby Jogger City Select 2 so mine has the seats in front and back of each other. I will say that something to be mindful of is the weight distribution. I put my toddler on the bottom seat so I can have my baby closer to monitor and not so close to the ground (in a bassinet) and it's so front heavy and rolling over bumps or large sidewalk crevices can be a struggle. When I have my baby in the carseat, I put my toddler on the top seat, and it's easier to maneuver. With toddler on the bottom, it's harder to turn corners both from weight and length. If you're rolling it up and down stairs, it feels more strenuous. It takes getting used to how much length you have in front of you. It's just long. I also rear face my toddler in the seat and that does take up some basket space. But I do like it. I've been really considering getting the Bugaboo Donkey 5 but I'm concerned about how wide it is although it seems like a really cool stroller
@Devon which bugaboo donkey do you have and would you say it's as slim as a tandem stroller when it's in single mode?
@Mimi bugaboo donkey 5. Bought it second hand off Facebook well worth doing. It's about the size of a wheelchair in single mode so just a little bit wider than a regular pram. But the only places I've found it not to fit as a double is front doors of house and bike width restrictions. It goes in shops absolutely fine. I'm not sure it would go on a bus but has been fine on a train.
Tandem stroller
Ive got cybex gazelle s, toddler is in seat at bottom and car seat is up top. Seems to be alright, can fold it with both seats attached which is pretty cool. I didnt go for a side by side because I worried about the width, wouldn't fit in doorways and I know it wouldn't fit our front door and thag would drive me nuts lol
