Not going to nursery?

Anyone else’s little one not go to nursery? I feel like I’m the only mum who hasn’t sent their 18 month! I work 2 days a week and my mum looks after her for me as I’m lucky enough to have that option… I don’t think I’d look to send her until 3! Am I the only one?

No, my LG doesn't go. I don't 'officially' work as part of my job is to look after the place next door to where we live and I am finishing off a degree

Nope. He won’t be going until at least 2 years old and that will only be a couple mornings a week until he’s 3 and gets his free 15 hours My daughter on the other hand was in nursery from 14 months all the way until she started school at 4.5 years old.

We don't 😊 I trust very few people with her and my partner earns enough to keep me at home 💖 We will only consider nursery when we have our next baby & that will only be if family can't have regular days to help out.

No my daughter doesn’t, but I don’t work. We’re thinking of starting her at 2 tho, just a few days a week to get her mingling and stuff

@Jasmine LOs get 15hrs free from 9m now, and from Sept they'll all get 30hrs free 😊 Can't wait for the change so we can save some money on nursery costs 😅 x

@Keira I don’t work

I know people who don't send their little one to nursery because that's what works for their family 😊 personally I was terrified and dreaded sending my daughter to nursery but had no choice when she turned 14 months as I had to go back to work and didn't have other support. It's actually been amazing for her, she settled incredibly well and loves it there, so I'm very lucky in that respect. Before she went I'd have said I would have wanted her to be with family, but I actually think in her case it's been wonderful. Same as some babies thrive with family members looking after them. You just do what's right for you!

No she’s still a baby! 🥲 she doesn’t even like me going out of her sight at stay and play groups. Her big sister who was 3 in January had just started one morning a week at a village school nursery. She’s the only nursery kid on that day and they share a room with reception, year 1 and 2 (I think), there’s still only like 5 kids in total it’s lovely

I had no choice as I had to go back to work but thankfully she loves it and is thriving there! I dont know anyone who would send them if they had a choice tbh

Honestly you are lucky! So enjoy the time
