@✨Wis 🇭🇹 Thanks for this. If you know of any good clinics, please share their names
@✨Wis 🇭🇹 What issues have you heard about down south?
I’ll see if I can find some names for you. Generally, maternal care down south is pretty bad. The statistics speak for themselves.
@✨Wis 🇭🇹 I'm actually in the UK but think there will be more knowledge around black bodies and fertility in the US.
I can’t tell you if the knowledge is better here than in the UK. But maternal health and women’s health is not great especially for women of color. You might have more success here than the UK, idk. But you’d have to really look hard for a good doctor who is not biased towards women of color and has a good understanding of the challenges black women may face. And def have to consider the cost
@✨Wis 🇭🇹 This is exactly it. I just read an article about black women typically having more eggs and better quality eggs but lower fertility outcomes. Inequalities are real
Advanced fertility of chicago! They helped me, but honestly I do not have faith in iui if you have a fertility issue like I do, they'll never work!
@Jamie thanks, will try them. did you have IVF with or without donated eggs?
Try Shady Grove. They are based out of Maryland but I think have opened clinics in Texas now.
From what I know, down south isn’t the best. I’ve heard NJ & Maryland are good with that though
