I had an unplanned slightly emergent csection in the afternoon! Baby was born at 322pm. I was in a postpartum room by like 6pm? Felt no pain all night, and baby slept like a dream the whole night so I also got to sleep pretty well. The only time we saw a nurse was for vitals / med top up. No complaints. Nobody bugged us at all until the following morning!
Mine was planned for afternoon list. Was to go to the hospital for 10am and when we arrived they actually took us straight down to theatre to get ready. Was just a bit of sitting getting ready and baby born at 12:48. Unfortunately my lo had to go to intensive care as he was a bit early but was only for 24 hours and thankfully he was born early even for an afternoon list we had lots of time for me to try and recover and go be with him
Had my 2nd via ELCS at 4.35pm (got there at 12pm but they were super busy... ) by the time all checked were done after birth and recovery and i had been fed, partner left around 9.30pm as we had a toddler at home and they took me down to the ward around 11pm, so basically bedtime. I didnt really sleep all night, i had her in my arms and safely dosed in and out. My first was EMCS after a looooong labour day and she was born at 5.13am so had the whole day once up in recovery then, but tbh i didnt feel it madr much of a difference 🤷🏼♀️ Both babies i was also home after 24 hours too ☺️
I don’t think the night was any tougher than it would’ve been having her earlier but that was because I just didn’t get any sleep and expected that to be the case regardless🤣 Obviously it’s better to have the catheter out for moving around but it is what it is, you just press the call button when you need anything x
My first was an emergency section at 18:40, it was fine overnight
I had my c-section in the afternoon, just before 3pm, but I was under a General Anaesthetic & didn't wake up until just before 5pm, so didn't actually meet my little boy until just before 6pm. I had to have a lot of help from the nurses as I was still being sick from the Anaesthetic.
