I tried glass but it gets very hot and bottles fall a lot more than you think so I switched to plastic
Glass gets too hot sometimes depending on how you warm the bottle, but also can be heavier if the baby is holding it. I used both plastic and glass. There is a brand out there (forgot the name) where the bottles are made of both glass and plastic and those work well too.
Only used glass and had zero problems with them. Didn’t want the microplastics leeching into the milk or formula
Glass bottles for newborns.
I decided on plastic because I'm so clumsy
I’ve decided glass! But definitely research both, I used chatGPT and it gave me a whole chart of pros and cons of which bottles was best
Bought glass bottles only as it’s easier to sterilise/wash, faster to warm and helps prevent bottle from the milk smell after washing
We did glass to cut down on microplastics
Silicone
Plastic. The amount they have been knocked about isn’t worth the breakage risk for me. Also take longer to cool water/feeds in glass
I use glass because its recyclable and less waste. You have to replace the plastic regularly. We've never dropped one. I have never had an issue with warming the milk up like others mentioned. The glass bottle cools very quickly. Also the slight crunchy mom in me is scared to add yet another plastic into my babies system 🫠
I’m clumsy so I needed plastic bottles 😂😅
We have plastic. If you’re kiddo will be in daycare, find out if they have rules. Most near us do not allow glass bottles.
Glass until 6 months old, then slowly they’ll break them all just in time for weaning ;)

We have both. I will stop using glass when he is walking/holding by himself for risk of injury. I don’t like heating the plastic to feed but sometimes that’s just how it is. Ideally i’ll keep using the glass to heat and then can transfer to a plastic bottle to offer to babe when he’s older.
Amazing, thanks everyone! ❤️
Glass. Mine have a blue silicone sleeve on it.
I have mostly plastic because I was worried about cracking but honestly the glass turned out to be my favorite.
I have plastic bottles, don’t want the baby throwing the bottle or it dropping and shattering everywhere. Also saw that eventually the threads where you screw the top on start the chip off and get into baby’s milk. No thanks!
