Baby products child’s farm/aveeno?

Currently using child’s farm but my baby’s skin is feeling super dry. So I started using coconut oil as a moisturer which has worked but wondered if anyone had tried aveeno for a baby with dry skin and how they found it?

Coconut oil is great for smoothing, but it’s not super hydrating on its own. Oils don’t actually add moisture — they just lock it in. So unless you’re using it right after a bath when the skin is still damp, it can end up locking in dryness instead. The skin might feel soft, but it’s not really getting what it needs. For my little one, I use Tubby Todd lotion and the All Over Ointment (AOO). He gets dry, rough patches on his legs sometimes, and just one use of the AOO clears it up — it’s been a lifesaver. I personally stay away from Aveeno and any lotions with petroleum in them. Petroleum is actually a byproduct of crude oil, and it can contain toxic stuff like PAHs that have been linked to cancer. It creates a barrier on the skin, but it doesn’t let it breathe or detox, and some of it can be absorbed into the body over time. Our babies’ skin is so sensitive — I just feel better using cleaner, more nourishing options. https://6j5z1.app.link/xXKt7o7KuTb

I’d recommend using the EWG app to find good products for baby. I use it all the time to decode ingredients! https://6j5z1.app.link/z5H3nAFLuTb

@Tessa thank you so much, so insightful! We don’t have the EWG app in the UK and Tubby Todd is also not available here. I am going to try and look for an alternative.

You can always reach out to me with a product name and I can search it on the app for you then send you a screenshot of the results, if you’d like!

That’s so kind. Thank you!

Nala’s baby body butter is incredible for dry skin, my little boy is on the recovery train from CMPA allergy rashes and some pretty inflamed eczema and it’s done absolute wonders for him. Aveeno was a nightmare for us as it made the rashes worse so can’t comment on its effectiveness!

I make my daughters lotion
