No dating scan

Your first ultrasound would be your dating scan I believe. The 2nd one normally doesn’t happen until 20 weeks

You could call and ask if they will get you in sooner? I had my first at 7.5 weeks to check for the heartbeat

And around 6.5 with my first baby

If you can’t get an earlier scan with your doctor reach out to a local pregnancy resource center, they usually offer them for free.

They told me they didn't offer one for dating since I have regular periods and knew the date of my last period. The first scan I am doing at 13 or 14 weeks is for early defects since I am on a medication that can cause some issues.

That’s strange even if you have regular periods it doesn’t mean you ovulate at the same time every month when I went for mine I was supposed to be 7 weeks based on lmp but I ovulated super late 2 days before my period so I was only 5 weeks but I also only got an early scan because I was having severe back pain and cramping and had to go to the ER

I’m getting mines at 12 weeks and 3 days ….. and that’s in couple days
