Whiney, clingy baby

My baby has never really been clingy or whingy but the past few days he hasn’t stopped crying and whinging. I’ve no idea what is wrong with him but it’s non stop. I cannot get anything done attal as everytime I put him down he’s screaming. Any ideas?
