My daughter will be one on June 14th and she doesn’t really have any words yet. She says dada and mama but it’s like she’s just babbling and I can’t really tell if she knows what they mean yet. When I talk to her she tries to mimic me but again she doesn’t really say words. She’s met all other milestones, been walking since 10 months, feeds herself, does many gestures like sign language for “more” and “all done”. I’m just a bit worried because I know it’s common to have a first word by their first birthday. Should I be concerned? (Pic included just cause she’s adorable)

Typically it’s between 10-15 months. I wouldn’t worry about it yet! Seems like you’re doing a phenomenal job!☺️
@Kaili thank you
@Jadia mine didn’t start actually crawling until 10 ish months, before that it was army crawling
@Jadia I think it’s quite common now for some babies to just totally skip crawling and go straight to walking! I wouldn’t worry too much if he’s already trying to walk
Alright thank you
@J’akeecia alright thank you
As long as babe is babbling shes hitting her milestones! Every baby is different! My boy says "puppy" and "baby" and is babbling constantly like hes trying to copy what we are saying and his friend at church who is 13 months babbles only "mama" but was way ahead of my boy in physical milestones. Every baby goes at their own pace!
