How do other teachers get their own children to Nursery and then get to their own school on time,

Nursery 7.30. 2 drop offs. Get to school just before 8. I have to set up all the Early Years and then morning meeting is at 8.20 Anyone have any tips or suggestions to help make it easier?

No suggestions because it's tough doing the drop off and heading to work. I miss my early mornings from before I had my first. My drop off is 8am and pick up is 4pm Tuesday-Friday with my two year old, in January my youngest will be starting at the same nursery. I use Monday as my main planning and organisation day for the entire week and arrive to work earlier, get all the printed sorted, do my admin, etc. The only thing I do is arrive at nursery 10 minutes prior to drop off and wait outside.. sometimes they let us in early depending on staff and how many children are already on site before the term time children arrive at 8am. Those extra 10 minutes are a life saver 🙌 it also helps that the nursery is a 5 minute drive from my work, I try to be in the front of the queue so I can get in and out as quick as possible.

Following. Wondering same thing

My daughter only goes on a Friday but I prep literally everything so it’s ready to walk into on Thursday eve. Her nursery doesn’t open until 8 and my class come in at 8:30. It’s only a 10-15 minute commute but if there is traffic I cut it sooo fine!! Lucky I have an understanding work place

I have spoken to my partner, and I'm going to make the playdough and messy play items on a Sunday during my little ones nap time. That will then cut down quite a bit on the Monday. I will also see what I can prep at home in advance. I guess I'm lucky as we are a 7.30 drop off and it's then 5 mins to my work. Still going to be tight though! When I started at my school we opened the doors at 9.10. Opening just kept getting earlier and earlier. Now it's 8.25

Her Dad drops her off! I live a 35-40 minute drive provided there's no traffic (Thursday took just under 1hr) from work so it just wouldn't be feasible for me to do the drop off. Luckily my partner works 12-8 and the nursery is on the bus route to his work so he drops her in for 9am then goes to the gym before work. I then do the pick up at 5.30pm.

I make sure all my lessons are set up before I leave school the previous day. Then if traffic is an issue I at least know that I don’t have to sort resources etc and that another member of staff can potentially take over if I’m that late.
