Are you insecure about your C section scar?

This is not a debate on what is the best way to safely deliver our beautiful babies. Back story.... my sister recently gave birth to my beautiful niece, who is the best baby ever. After a traumatic birth and my sister getting over that, she still struggles with her scar. No matter the reassurance we as a family, in...

Hi mamas ❤️ just wondering what everyone’s pre op experience was? Had mine today - went to DAU (day assessment unit) and the midwife took my bloods, gave me a form to bring back with me for when the surgery is booked and told me when to fast (I’m booked for afternoon so have to fast from 6am but can have sips of wat...

Early labour? Should I call the midwife?

I’ve been having contractions since yesterday evening following a sweep, they were around 2-4 hours apart throughout the night, then throughout today have been around 20-40 minutes apart, except the last 6 I have had have been between 10-8 minutes apart, what do I do? I’m not sure if I’m sure that I’m in labour or n...

Most amount of csections

Just a quick poll the NHS says you shouldn’t have more than 3 surgeries, just wanted to check if there are women who have had more than 3 and please share as much of your experience as you’re willing to. Signed A mum who was hoping to have 5 kids but has already had 2 sections in under 2 years

HATEEEE my body post C-section

I had a C-section 4 days ago and I’m really struggling with how my body looks. My tummy now hangs down over my scar and I hate it :( Does it go away or will my stomach be like this forever?

Vbac

Has anyone here had a successful VBAC? I didn’t get a midwife, even though I applied for one online when I was 5 weeks pregnant. I also don’t plan to hire a doula. Do you think it’s possible to have a successful VBAC without a doula or midwife? I’m afraid of having another C-section because my recovery was so dreadf...

Does this look like my waters are leaking?

So obviously I know discharge does increase but this just feels different and I’ve never had this in my nickers before apart from visible discharge. If I put a pad on what am I to look out for colour wise or somthing? With my first I had my waters popped so I have no idea

24 weeks, lots of discharge!

I’ve been getting lots of discharge since about 18 weeks. It’s clear/ white which I know is healthy but the amount is crazy! It’s constant day and night. Sometimes I feels like I’ve wee’d myself! I have to change my panty liner atleast 3/4 times a day otherwise it just leaks through. Any advise? Is this normal? Sh...

What’s your C-section story?

I knew I wanted a section from quite early on, I had been told I had a low lying placenta at 20 weeks. So that just solidified my idea. I felt like I wasn’t taken very seriously when I had mentioned that I would be going the ELCS route, and the only medical person who really listened and agreed with me was my midwif...

Pregnancy after c-section

Has anyone gotten pregnant less than a year after a c-section? I know they say to wait atleast 18 months in between but for older moms who may not have that time biologically to wait, I’m curious if anyone has had two babies via c-section within a closer amount of time and was it safe, how did it turn out? I’ve h...

Baby due date 8th May. Booked in for section 2nd May. I don’t know whether to push this back incase I go into natural labour first? I had a section with my first due to being breech but should be good candidate for VBAC this time. I feel a bit pressured by my mum and partner to have a section as will be easier...

90th centile

Hey all, my baby is in the 90th centile and I’m 32 weeks pregnant. We have a clinic appointment on Friday about the weight of baby but I’m just wondering if anyone else has been in this situation and what the outcome was? Did you have a vaginal birth or did you need to have a c-section. Thanks ☺️
