I’ve been breastfeeding my girl (first baby) for almost 6 months now. She has taken bottled breast milk no bother. But i’ve decided due to a number of factors to now switch to formula. However after trying her on formula on a few occasions she refuses. I feel like I’m at a loss :( Im wondering what other mamas are ...
Is anybody else's formula fed baby just not really Interested in feeding? Just in the last week my little boy has gone from feeding every 3 hours 7oz bottles to being fussy and sometimes having 3oz sometimes finishing the bottle. We're due to start weaning at the weekend when the high chair turns up so not sure if ...
Struggling to wrap my head around bottle prep. The formula box says to boil 1 litre kettle and leave for 30 mins then make bottle. Surely we don't have to boil 1 litre for 1 bottle and wait that long? Night feeds will be a nightmare Health visitor said not to use a prep machine and can't pre-make bottles to heat ...
Curious to hear what everyone’s routines are with babies?
I will still be giving formula until 12 months but he is quite a fussy baby so my logic is it’s going to take him awhile to get used to drinking it
How many oz is your baby eating at five months? My baby still feeds on demand but only drinks 4 oz per feed. Sometimes he’ll want more but it’s usually 4 oz every few hours, Is this a normal amount?
How much are your formula fed babies taking at one time? My baby gets a fortified formula of 5oz every 3.5-4 hours. He will also take a regular 4oz bottle of formula, but I've tried 6oz, and he spits that up or struggles to finish it. So we give either 4oz made regular or 5oz fortified.
Hey everyone, my little boy has the man bottles & dummies but I’m just wondering if anyone’s baby has taken to a different dummy that is similar to the mam ones? Our local shop doesn’t sell many older sized mam ones and I’m sick of ordering online because they’re all ugly patterns 😂 Thanks
Hi all I’m not sure which sterilising method is best for a newborn. We dont have a microwave but can purchase one if thats the best way or we were looking at the Milton tablets or an electric steriliser. Which have you all found best ?
We put off transitioning my 15 month old from formula to milk as she had a bad tummy for ages after starting nursery and we were worried the milk was making it worse. We've just done our first full day of milk and no formula and she's been fine (which is a huge relief), but she's going through a sleep regression a...
Hello, Does anyone use Nutramigen Formula (prescription)? I have two tubs that are unopened and not needed.
My baby is 1 week old & is formula feeding. We were originally feeding 60ml every 3ish hours & then got told by the midwife he hadn’t gained weight & to up his food to 120ml if he’d take it so we did. He started to have mainly 90ml and the odd 110 & feeding on demand again advised by MW. We’ve then been seen by ...
My LO has always been a big food/milk lover. He is now 7.5 months. We were doing amazing. Averaging 28oz of milk a day and 3 meals a day. We weaned at 4 months because of reflux if this has any impact. He had a viral bug friday/saturday not the first or the last. This is the first one where he refused to feed. He N...
Little one is a week and a half away from 5 months and currently on 6 ounces of formula every 3 hours and one night feed. Usually amounts to between 850-950ml over a day. Last 2 days he's been absolutely ravenous, he's getting hungry 10-15 minutes earlier than 3 hours, guzzling it down, screeches if I dare take th...
Appreciate that the guidelines say that formula should be discarded 2 hours after it’s made, but is there any harm to baby if this was longer? Sometimes my baby will only drink a couple of ounces and then want a top up a couple of hours later - can I get away with feeding her the same bottle or? (Obviously I want to...
My little girl turned 1 at the weekend so we started the milk ladder this morning and I think we’ve already failed 😩 she had half of a Heinz apple biscotti at about 11.30 and has just had a horrible nappy - foul smelling, dark green, looser than normal and I think some mucous (will post a picture in the comments).…
We are starting on puréed veg this week. Have you just been blitzing the veg on its own or adding breastmilk/formula or any herbs etc? Or is it better to just start off plain? Thanks!
My LO is 9 days old and is absolutely polishing off 3oz bottles and cueing for more! Is it safe to be making her up 4oz bottles at this age?
Currently, 35+3, anyone else been told that baby's head is starting to engage at this time. First baby was 4 weeks early. Just wondering if this one is likely to come early too?
Anyone else’s baby refusing formula? He’s 7.5 months and is teething so wondering if that has something to do with it? He’s been doing so well with weaning and having his milk but the past few days all of it has been a bit of a struggle
