What is the going rate for a mommies helper for a 2 year old and a 4 month old in San Jose. I was recently told that one charges $30 per kid but that seems like a lot, even for San Jose.

I was told it isn't mandatory but my son seems like he's ready for it. But I'm not sure I'm ready to expose him to the "real world" yet.
