TTC: Alternative routes to parenthood

Hi all - I wondered if anyone (either someone acting as a surrogate or someone using a surrogate) would be interested in discussing their experience with me for an article on surrogacy, following the backlash against Khloë Kardashian sharing a picture of her with her new baby (born via a surrogate) in a hospital bed. Will be a sensitive and considerate piece for a paper in the U.K. If you’re keen and able to share your experiences, then please DM me on here. Anyone else in here pursuing embryo adoption?

My husband and I are to the point of wanting to start a family. I have bad PTSD with a traumatic case of endometriosis and emergency surgery that came along with it. Almost loosing my life left my scared. Carrying a baby and the trials that come with it absolutely terrify me! But I want so bad to have a child of our own blood. I’ve thought about surrogacy and briefly discussed it with my husband. But I’m just curious if anyone else has gone through this and has any advice to share. Neither one of us is getting any younger 🙁

We live in NYC, have been struggling with TTC and really just want to start a family. Are there others here from the northeast US or really anywhere in the US who can give tips, recommendations for agencies, etc. ?
