Baby sleep

5am wakes

Hi! Has anyone successfully overcome the 5am wakes? And if so, what worked? My 10 month old baby girl has been waking at 4.30/5 every morning for the last few weeks. Initially she was a terrible sleeper, then after learning to self soothe, she was fab for a while, sleeping approx 7.30pm-6.30am. Unsure whether this is a regression thats stuck, or if there’s anything else I can do to help her stay asleep a bit longer. As well as me being exhausted, she’s so tired by around 7/8am and needs to go back down for a nap, and naps are now all over the place. I’ve so far tried earlier bedtime, later bedtime, longer wake windows, longer naps, shorter naps… any advice appreciated :)

Baby sleep

2 month old seperation anxiety from me

My 2.5 month old son seems to have major separation anxiety from me and is extremely high needs. He cannot sleep on his own without being held, has to be rocked to sleep, and now throws horrible screaming tantrums and episodes if he’s being held by my husband at night and it’s bedtime. We want to sleep train him to sleep alone but I’m already feeling so defeated. He can be set down for a little bit during the day but he gets upset pretty quickly and definitely won’t fall asleep. I can’t even take him on a walk without a meltdown. It’s been very isolating and depressing. I feel very alone….hoping to connect with some other moms who are experiencing the same.

Lonely??

Was curious if you noticed that having a high needs baby makes you want to isolate more. I'm already pretty introverted and am a HSP. Which makes me more of a homebody and naturally more overstimulated. But no human is a island and even the most introverted of us still needs companionship and new fun experiences. Unfortunately with the lack of sleep and constant needs from my baby I am finding it hard to make friends and venture to new places on my own. We moved to a new place with no close friends or family so it's been pretty challenging. Just wanted to send love to the other Mama's out there feeling a little lonely. You are doing so great!!
