Due Winter 2020

Midwife felt my tummy and said baby girl is a fair size and could be 8lb 2 already. I’m only 5ft 3 and so much pressure down below as she is fully engaged! My first baby was only 7lb. Apparently they can put on half a pound a week 😱 anyone else been told this and it’s been wrong? Although it’s second time birth it scares me birthing a big baby lol! Especially if I’m late she could weigh a fair bit 🤣

I don’t want to be here for a week...... anyone got any tips for me to make the pessary work faster?

I’ve just been told that I need to have a c section with my first due to my placenta reaching across the cervix. To make it worse, the only date they have is in my 38th week which is apparently a little earlier than they recommend.

I feel quite sad about it as I really wanted to have a natural birth and I’m starting to worry about having a bond with the baby when they come out. I’m also worried that breast feeding will be difficult.

I just have the feeling that my body has failed. I’ve had 3 miscarriages prior to this baby so I’ve spent the whole pregnancy over cautious and now panicking that I’m going to struggle.

I can’t seem to find any stories of people who’ve had an unwanted elective before rather than an emergency section or planned? Has anybody else had this and could they give me any reassurance or stories that they’ve gone through!

Anyone due around Xmas but being induced. I am being induced early December and was wondering if any mums from Rochdale or Oldham are attending Oldham hospital for induction or c section. The thought of being on my own on the ante natal ward is scaring me. Just wondered what you all plan to take to keep busy etc.

Anyone get pains in their ribs? I am 34 weeks pregnant. I don’t think he’s stuck in there, as I don’t think that’s a thing? He doesn’t react when I push around on my ribs either, so I think he’s okay. But it does just hurt on one set of ribs. I tried to lay down and massage it out, which does relieve some pain, but I can’t lay down all day long! Any advice/remedies? Help😩
