Iftaar and dinner Ideas for Ramadan

Salaam Ladies, I work from home and take care of 2 kids under 3. Please suggest some easy iftaar ideas. I usually keep dates, nuts, fruits, salad for Iftaar and our usual meals like rice and chicken curry/mutton curry/fish fry/vegetable rice. My husband keeps delaying dinner and later goes out to eat mostly burger, biryani or sandwich. I think he is bored eating simple meals. I need something easy and interesting please. Thank you!

Ramadan

Salaam sisters, this is my first Ramadan as a mother and I really feel like I’ve failed. I haven’t gone mosque because I’m scared she’ll crawl everywhere when we’re praying and she’s teething so bad she’s biting everything. I don’t know what I can do. I know there is little time left but I’m not sure how I can improve. I’ve been playing Quran in the home and trying to memorise a new Surah but I just feel like I’ve completely lost the sense of community and it’s made worse that I moved to a new area.

Please any advice would be welcome.

Nikah dresses

Salam sisters. I need some ideas. I am getting married in July. As a revert a Nikah is something completely different to what I thought my wedding would be like. alhamdulilah I am here and thriving. Only issue is I am stuck on what to wear. I have a tight budget 100-150. I ideally want to wear white but happy to look at other colours. I am finding that a lot of white abayas are see through when in a lower price ranged. Any ideas? What did you wear for your Nikah?

Fasting while nursing

So last year I was 7 months pregnant during Ramadan and my husband said I should at least try to fast. I ignored and didn’t. This year I am nursing and my little boy doesn’t eat a lot so has a lot of milk because he is teething. I kept a few fasts and when I don’t I notice my husband’s acts strangely about it. He shows little to no empathy towards me while I am fasting and I feel as if I am being dramatic for no reason because I am feeling faint and very weak. According to him the ruling is - you should try to fast and see if your body can handle it and then break the fast if needed. But once I am fasting, he says you’ve gotten this far now. I really don’t need this guilt. What shall I do and what are others doing while nursing?
