Looking for advice on nurseries in Orpington. Expecting my first early this summer and I’ve heard we may need to register baby now even though we won’t need a place until 2027. It seems way too soon but I know it’s super important.

I moved to Orpington last year so don’t have great knowledge of the local nurseries. I’ve shortlisted the below.

Does anyone have any experience of the below - good or bad?

• Kindred Orpington
• Bright Horizons
• Orpington Day Nursery
• Monkey Puzzle Orpington

Hi, I’m struggling to decide which hospital to choose. I’m considered high risk due to various long term health conditions and I will have to have an elected c section due to my health background.

Princess Royal Hospital, Orpington Hospital and Darent Valley Hospital are my closest hospitals. Does anyone have any advice on these hospitals especially when it comes to c sections? I know Princess Royal has a CQC rating of ‘Requires Improvement’ and Darent Valley is rated ‘Good’. This was from 2022 so I’m not sure how much things have changed. Any advice would be much appreciated.

Just wondering if anyone has attended any swim classes in or around Orpington that they would recommend for a 3mo? Most of the websites don’t have prices either so would love to know your experiences and recs please!

I’m new to Orpington and would love to meet some first time mums through antenatal classes. Does anyone have any thoughts on the below options? I’m leaning towards HPHB & NCT because other attendees will be more local? Thanks!
