Careers

Are there any moms that work from home?

I’m gonna be a SMBC and I’m gonna need a career change. I need to find a job that I can make at minimum what I make now and to be able to work from home. I’m not pregnant… yet! (🤞🏻 for January) but I do want to start planning.

Any suggestions?

Trying for a baby

Emotional week as an SMBC TTC

Hi! I’m new to the group and so happy to find this app! I’ve had a tough week where doing this on my own has felt more challenging than usual. I had a chemical pregnancy this week (my first pregnancy after 5 IUIs). I knew my HCG was low so I hadn’t really gotten my hopes up, but it’s still been an emotional roller coaster. My mom and sister have been supportive, but I think it’s hard for them to relate to what this is like. I was super emotional (hormonal?) on Friday and just couldn’t get out of it. Its the first time I’ve felt like it’d be nice to have a partner in this with me.

I’m on the upswing of the emotions now, ready to move onto my next cycle. But unfortunately my doctor wants me to take October off and wait until November to go again. Trying to get pregnant is such a test of patience!

Just sending out my support and positive thoughts to everyone in this group - especially if you’re feeling a little lonely right now! ♥️

Pregnancy termination

Deciding to be a SMBC is the most empowering decision you will ever make!

Hello ladies! My name is Jacqueline and I am 40 years old from Montreal Canada.

I have been trying to have a baby on my own for the last year.

For anyone that is having a hard time with this decision please know it is the most courageous thing you will ever do.

You are not settling you are deciding for yourself that you want something and going after it on your own as an independent woman!

You have all the time in the world to meet someone and to meet them out of love and not because time is ticking to have a baby.

Never feel ashamed that you’re at this point of doing it on your own!

I do want love, of course I do, but I have realized it is sacred and not something I want to swipe right on. It will come when it is time, it is not something I need to go out and search for. I know when the stars align it will be there waiting for me.

Having a baby on the other hand is not as simple. It is however the 21st century and so much is possible for a single woman. You don’t need a relationship to have a baby. You just need a good doctor, a herd of supportive people in your life, and vial of sperm from the bank LOL.

I have had 3 failed IUIs and my first IVF cycle was successful even with only two eggs retrieved! I am currently 5 weeks pregnant and my mission is to end the stigma of what different families can look like!

I am here for anyone of they have any questions or need any support at all! 💕
