ADHD anger

I’ve always struggled with my emotions but ever since I’m pregnant the emotions are 1000x more heightened it’s crazy. Crashing out over the smallest thing screaming crying and being so nasty to those around me. I don’t know how to control it. For reference I’m 20 weeks pregnant and I’m on 100mg sertraline.

How to stop being so overstimulated??

Ughhh I feel so guilty.

Whenever my partner and I are both present to parent as a team I'm fine but whenever it's just me and my daughter I get so overstimulated, like by the time it gets to bed time I feel like my brain is fizzing (the best way I can describe it) and it makes me feel so bad... Like maybe I was never cut out to be a mum 😭

And I don't think my daughter would ever know I'm so overstimulated, I try my best not to show her but I just don't want to feel this way. I'm sure my partner doesn't get this overstimulated whenever he has to solo parent so why am I like this 😭

Tips for newly diagnosed ADHD mum 🤍

Hey! I am a mum to a 3 year old little girl, this week I was diagnosed with adhd after a year long process to figure out what was going on with me! I am currently waiting to start medication but would love to know what other mums do to help themselves stay on top of things? I struggle a lot with organising, keeping track of appointments, remembering to reply to messages/ emails, and general brain fog! It's such a relief to finally have some answers and a good plan in place to help me get on top of things but would love to know if there is anything else I could do while waiting for meds that might help me day to day? 🩷

Time blindness!

Hi all. I’m undiagnosed ADHD and work in a job where I hold keys to the building therefore there’s no one to make me leave in the evenings! I’m not a morning person so all the little extra bits I need to do are done in the evening and this is making me late home for my LOs bedtime. Has anyone got any tricks or tips on how to tackle the time blindness? Time literally just disappears!

Smoking & health

ADHD meds and Cannabis

Has anyone used weed while also taking adhd medication (stimulants) regularly? did it amplify your adhd symptoms or help relief some of the anxiety/jitters from being on the stimulant?

I’m finding myself more irritable these days, losing my temper and patience with my toddler. In the past taking a small toke of a pen during the day would help me cope with feeling angry but i also found it made it hard to be consistent with boundaries and present in playing by the time it would wear off. I also found it very addicting and would start to crave it and use weed more and more during the day. I quit daytime weed vaping exactly one month ago and now i smoke a small bowl every night after lo goes to bed….but I’m struggling to find ways to cope on really hard days - please feel free chime in with ur experiences or any advice. thank you so much 🙏🏼
