Should I go full time now to get better MAT pay?

I’ve just found out I’m pregnant with my second baby and already worrying about maternity pay! I currently work 4 days a week but wondering if my work allows, would it be beneficial to start working full time from Feb to then get better MAT pay and holiday allowance to help with finances.

My 2.5yr old at the moment is either and nursery or with family and thriving at both and loves both. I would feel guilty spending less time with her but it would only be for 7 months and then we would be spending more time together.

Has anyone done this before? Did you manage ok working full time and having a toddler. I’m struggling to work out how much more money I would get and if it’s worth it.

We’re just starting building our house and about to have a Morgage. I feel I need to save as much as possible now to see my through maternity leave.

Please help - 2 jobs?!

So I’ve called as many people I can think of to help including HMRC but it’s not clear still on where I stand. I have 2 jobs, one is my main employer where I receive SMP from and intend to take 9/12 months leave. My other job is part time a few hours a week in the evenings on social media but I am employed in this job aswell. My question is… if I return to my second employer around 1 month after giving birth and receive my normal monthly income of around Β£300 will this affect the SMP I am receiving from my main employer? I only want to return back so soon to my second employer as the work is based around my lifestyle and can be done whenever I have spare time in the evenings and it’s not as demanding as my main job. I’m just nervous as I don’t want to return back and start getting paid and then the gov stop my SMP as that will still be my main income source. Please if anyone has any advice or experience with this , let me know πŸ™πŸΌ I go on mat leave in a few months and really want to know. Thanks

Smp - part time

Hi, I have just found out that you get less smp part time than you do working full time. I work 3 days a week and would like to know if anyone else worked 3 days a week and is now on smp? What is the amount you get monthly. Thank you x

Flexible work from home jobs ?

My maternity pay ends in March and we can’t afford for me to go back to work due to childcare costs but at the same time we can’t afford everything just on my partners wage, this means I will have to do a work from home job but have no idea where to start looking? Does anyone have any suggestions it will need to be flexible due to I’ll still be looking after the baby?! X
