Do I trust that you are the one leading me?
(Read Acts 1- 14... At the bottom of this post)
It's easy to feel like we are heading in the right direction when the path before us seems clear and straight. But what if the Lord puts a blind spot in our way? What if he puts a stumbling block on our Journey can we still believe he is the one leading us?
It's so easy to trust when the path is laid bare before us. But when we can't see can we trust Him to lead us by the hand? So often like Paul we can be going down a path to us that seems so right especially when we believe we belong to the Father. When the waters of this life are still. But can we still live by faith when the water is troubled? We often pray Father take me into the deep. But do we understand what we are asking for? Do we understand what the deep requires? Are we willing to sacrifice the perfect for the imperfect? Are we willing to walk in an unfamiliar place? What I found interesting about this story of Paul is the fact that when Jesus called out to him he said who are you Lord? He recognized the voice of Jesus right away. He understood the place he was standing that moment was Holy Ground even though it felt uncomfortable he knew who was holding his hand, He knew this persecution was going through was a righteous one. He understood that God was getting ready to take him in deep waters. I love how there was witnesses there, something to take note of... God confirmed by two witness that it was Jesus who was calling him. How has God confirmed to you that this path of struggle you have been on he is the one taking on this Journey?
It has been so hard for me to believe that God is the one taking me on my Journey. But today I am challenging you to put your hands in the had of our Father. Stop beating up yourself don't be like me on your process 😊. I know too well how daunting this Journey can seem. Having to trust people and go places that are unfamiliar. But ask yourself this one question. Who you are becoming is she worth it?
You see just like Paul deep inside I knew the path I was on only appeared right but it wasn't. I know even though everything around me appeared to be beautiful my soul was crying out for more and even though the deep requires me dying to myself and I often want to give up on my Journey, but I'm gonna do like Paul and belive that my Father said he will never leave nor forsake me and even though I don't understand where I am going most days I'm gonna trust that he is holding my hand and He who began a good work in me is able to finish until the day of completion. Amen. Be blessed everyone.
And he has come here with authority from the chief priests to arrest all who call on your name.”
