Hello, mummas! My little lady loves standing but only goes to her toes. Has anyone dealt with this, if so, how did you help your little one get used to standing flat on their feet?

Hi everyone! I’m a first time mum so I really need your help! I’m currently on mat leave with my 11 month old! Im due to start work in a few months but I honestly don’t know what to do as childcare is so so expensive and my child is always getting sick so I don’t even think it would be an option. I also don’t have any family here to support us or look after the baby while at work. My husband works on site and doesn’t have any WFH option. We are also not in the best financial position for only one parent’s salary. Even if I were to work, most of my salary would go to childcare even with the childcare subsidy! I just don’t think it’s worth returning to work and going through that trauma of my child getting sick all the time especially as he has such a weak immune system :(

Does anyone know if I can get any Centrelink payment or benefits if I were to quit work and be a SAHM? I just don’t think I have a choice at this point! Even the slightest financial benefit/ minimum payment would help!

Any advice would be much appreciated! Xx

My parents and my partners parents live too far apart for us to reasonably travel to both of them Christmas Day

Most of my family is working Boxing Day this year So we decided to do Christmas Eve + Boxing Day with the in laws, Christmas Day with my side and then opposite next year so at least my family have a years notice to try get work off

When my partners family started having a go at us we offered for them to come to us for brunch Christmas morning, which they have refused to do and are choosing to miss my child’s first Christmas rather than be a little bit accommodating We’ve had some member of the family yelling at us over phone/ text every single day this week and I am absolutely dreading having to see them Christmas Eve knowing they will make me feel awful and ruin any excitement I have left for my baby’s first Christmas but my partner still says that they’re family and so it’s Important we go

Has anyone else noticed their little ones drinking significantly less formula now? My baby started decreasing the amount she was drinking about a week before she turned 6 months, I thought introducing solids would help but she is now drinking even less since starting, and I’m starting to get worried. She isn’t sick and isn’t getting sick, I heard it was normal for them to decrease a little bit but she hasn’t had this little since she was 1.5 months old. Anyone else going through this or know if this is okay or not?

So baby is just about 6 months now, about to start introducing solids and water. I’ve tried looking up how much to start with and what the best thing to start with is, and I just have so much conflicting information I’m so overwhelmed 😅 Anyone who has started their Bub on solids and water already how did you start? How much and how often to start with?
