Hi all! I started with a really awesome postpartum counselor who recommends I check out JCFS’ services for new moms. I had my first home visit from their Visiting Moms program today— it’s a free program where you can have a weekly visit for the first year of baby’s life for someone to connect with and chat about life with baby. So great for anyone feeling isolated during those newborn months! Here’s their full list of services for families with babies.
At the end of my intake I asked how I could help, and the woman said “spread the word, so many people don’t know about us.” I didn’t realize Jewish Family and Community Services worked with folks outside the Jewish community (they do!) or came all the way to Acton (they do!!). Hope everyone is having a good week!
