SEPTEMBER 2024 BABIES

My son is nearly 2 in two months time and have decided to start settling him in nursery a few times a week.

During his settling in period (we’re still in it) he’s been really sobbing and crying we only leave him 30 mins max but he’s on and off during that time.

I just feel absolutely awful to be honest. Anyone else had the same experience and how did you manage to deal with it because I keep saying I don’t want to put him in now because of it!

Need to upgrade my 21 month old sons balance bike, he’s too big for his one now, the image is the one he’s got. Any recommendations, reasonable price too? Thanks

About a month ago, my now 20 month old randomly went blue in the car (lips, face) and was not responding when I spoke to her. I quickly pulled over and got her outta her seat, where she coughed a couple times and her colour came back. She wasn’t eating anything or playing with anything when this happened. She wasn’t quite herself, so we took her to emerg where we sat for 6.5 hours. They did xray to make sure she didn’t swallow anything, bloodwork and and ECG. Everything came back fine minus her being a bit anemic. By this point in time, she was fully back to her normal self.

Days went by and she was fine. The following Sunday she was playing and quickly started acting funny. I immediately grabbed her and took her outside for fresh air (seems to help) before it got too far. She bounced back quicker. We have seen our family doc who has asked for more tests/see a paediatrician. We quickly got into the paediatrician and have had an EEG and heart monitor done just to cover all basis. She goes for an ECHO in a week. Also given iron drops from doc to help with the anemia. She’s been fine ever since until tonight where she went blue slightly again in the lips and wasn’t herself. The fresh air helped again but she was still acting “tired/drowsy” (best way to explain) after 20ish minutes she was back up playing/running around.

This is the scariest feeling ever and knowing that all they have found so far is her being “anemic” doesn’t sit well.

Has any other mamas had this happen or have any insight on what it could be or what we should be doing next?

Hi ladies, Please tell me how is it with your toddlers? Do they get sick often? My little girl started Nursery when she was 11 months old, and since then she gets sick often- but from last winter, she is getting sick once every 2 weeks, is this normal?

My daughter is 18m, she’s started being naughty and I’m not sure how to go about discipline. I’m definitely going to be a soft mum because I can’t bring myself to tell her off🫣 How is everyone else doing it?
