Thank you!

Your going to need a blanket for your baby and clothes 2 bottles a lot of diapers and wipes for your baby

Yes chapstick!!! My lips were so dry!

Toiletries and towels for shower. This won't fit in the bag, but don't forget the car seat.

All I packed was my breast pads, chap stick, toothbrush & toothpaste, soap, pajamas, and going home clothes for me. A pacifier, burping cloths, bibs, receiving blankets, some onesies, mittens & socks, hat, baby wipes, and a going home outfit for my baby. The hospital usually provides pads, special underwear, wash cloth and towels for you and pampers and receiving blankets for baby but you can pack that to be on the safe side.

Honestly, I packed so much stuff and only ended up using the baby clothes, a light, button up night gown for my self and some slippers. And a tooth brush! And pillows from home.

Thank you ladies. I have a better understanding now.. I haven’t had a kid in 6 whole years 🤣

dollar store toiletries & dollar store flip flops for the shower! dollar store slippers or socks to walk around the rooms in. adult diapers were awesome too compared to the mesh panties the hospital gave. i also loved that i packed robes instead of actual outfits because you’re constantly getting checked down there for bleeding output & hemorrhoids so it made that easy. sweats & tshirt home for me 🤷🏽‍♀️ packed 3 diff NB outfits & swaddle blanket for pics

Definitely your favorite pillow! It was my lifesaver. That and a very comfortable robe and yummy snacks

Some ideas: Comfy socks and slippers for you. 2 outfits for you. Clothes for support person. Baby only needs 1 maybe 2 outfits, baby will be swaddled most of the time or will be doing skin to skin. Chapstick head phones a long charger toothpaste toothbrush lotion. Non perishable snacks, especially for support person! You don't have to bring a lot of items for baby. The hospital will provide swaddles, diapers, wipes and all that stuff. Hospital also gives you post care items like pads and mesh underwear. Any just in case items bring and keep in your trunk.

I packed the stuff already said but I highly recommend buying your own peri bottle with a longer head. I used this with my second and it was a game changer! Also, adult Diapers were way less work than the pads and hospital Underwear, just take it all off and pitch it. A dark colored robe and maternity leggings. All I wanted after my first was to feel secured in pants and was so glad I brought a pair the second time around. Good luck!

depends where you live but i would first call L&D and/or M&B, just to find out what they provide during your stay and also ask if your support person is allowed to come and go. my husband and i each packed a bag full of stuff plus the baby's bag and honestly, what we actually used, i probably could've carried in my purse. we used our toothbrushes, toothpaste and soaps (after they allowed me to shower), deodorants, an outfit for me to go home in, one for my husband and for the baby, we packed a couple of outfits since we didn't know how big he would be but we only used his going home one and a swaddle. the hospital literally gave us EVERYTHING!

I brought a warm robe & was sooo glad, my hospital room was freezing!

Currently waiting for bubba in hospital, longer than expected. I would add eye mask to help sleep (lights go off late) and ear plugs if a light sleeper. Just in case and don't take up much room. Plus the bits all the other ladies have mentioned

Omg. If you didnt pack anything You would have everything you need at the hospital. But pack you the best comfy outfit for you. Your best sleep good shower stuff. And two baby outfits. And a pacifier.

Doggy training pads!! The hospital provide ones to sit on but if I had to go it again I’d take my own if you get kept in over night you can change it when you please at that instead of when they change them x

Granola bars, toothbrush/paste, some shower soap, a shirt for the little one, flip flops, a phone charger and a comfy robe to wear home. That would be my minimalist recommendation. Maybe a hair brush too

Water bottle!! I was SO thristy after birth and the cups of water were not large enough to help. I annoyed my husband asking for more water every 15 minutes. I

Chapstick! And a blanket. And shower shoes. And everything everyone else said :) Good luck!

Snacks for sure! And phone chargers I was in the hospital for 2 days and the only thing I used was the snacks lol

A lot of stuff like blankets and pillows towels ect & shampoo condition you will want because the ones they give you at the hospital are crap 💩 I put down. Baby wipes because you may not be able to shower right away so it helps to feel fresh :)

What are you having?

I’m having a baby girl.

Congrats 👏

Pack aquaphor, it will help w your baby's first bowel if you don't catch it right away. My girl had a mild rash and the hospital charged us a bit more because of the convenience of providing it for us. You can also use it on your lips and your feet if you need. ♡ snacks and your favorite and comfy maternity clothes to come back home in with cozy socks.

Definitely

If you're going to a public hospital, newborn diapers. I was surprised that they don't provide more than 1 anymore.

Oh really! Thank you.

I’m packing my bag as well because I’m due September 9th but she might come early and I feel like I’m packing for a 3 week vacation by overly packing stuff lol

Lol I feel you! Because I need the perfect outfit for her pictures..

Snacks... I was constantly hungry 😩

Slippers, more than one nighty, and a blanket

A blanket for the baby or for myself?

My 1st was born at 27wk3days via emergency csection so we literally had nothing at first. The biggest things I wished I had were good body lotion, chapstick, hair ties, flip flops or slippers, something big and cozy to keep you warm like a sweater or robe.

Pack lots of snacks and fuzzy socks. They provide lots of undies idk why but they r super comfy. But what comes in handy is the frida moms postpartum kit best thing ever 🙌🏾 baby clothes is u like to take pictures cute gowns for u

Should I bring the frida kit to the hospital or use it after? I was thinking I’d just bring the peri bottle

I just had my son and you honestly don’t need that much! They don’t wear any clothes until you take him or her home. I would say a blanket or swaddle and one outfit. For me I only needed an outfit to go home in an a change of underwear and a bra. Depending on how long you are there I would say some shampoo/ conditioner to shower in. But they clean you up after birth, so I showered when I got home since I was only there for a day.

Joni! I just read you already have a kid, so you will be totally great! But I wanted to mention two things that I don’t think I saw mentioned that I was so happy to have with me. 1. Pacifiers. I wasn’t even sure if I wanted to even use them, but a woman came up to me at a wedding and told me her one piece of mom advice was to take pacifiers to the hospital. I think those saved my life. 2. A Bluetooth speaker. My nurses actually thanked me for providing me music throughout the days that I was there through my labor. I was in labor 61 hours and over 45 were in the hospital. The music helped me cope and mellow/zone out when I needed. I didn’t use it after baby was born bc I didn’t want to disturb her. But on that note, a white noise machine for the baby for the days after delivery. Luckily my hospital had them in the room for the baby...also a lifesaver. Best of wishes to you and your baby #2

Awe thank you. I did pack pacifier. Yes this is baby number two for me but my son is 6 years old. 😫 n I really don’t remember at all packing him a baby bag or me one. So thanks for your help.

Can I ask where you got this diaper bag? It’s super adorable

I’m sorry it was a gift. I think my godmother got it off wish. I know I saw them on there. It turns into a traveling bed for the baby.

Chapstick, socks, robe, a back massager if you have one! I had the worst back labor, A BLUETOOTH SPEAKER!! your breast pump if you plan to breastfeed and need help! The lactation consultants will help you if you need it! The disposable always panties. A comfy going home outfit with a nursing bra. don’t forget the car seat! Also, TAKE EVERYTHING IN THE ROOM WHEN YOU LEAVE! They charge your insurance anyways so you may as well! Diapers, wipes, disposable panties, etc.

Lolol right??

🤣🤣okay will do (take everything that is) 🤣

I PACKED MY SO TWO PAIRS OF CLOTHES SLIPPERS SNACKS CHARGER AND MONEY FOR THE VENDING MACHINE FOR MYSELF I PACKED 2 PAIRS OF UNDIES BEC I USED THE MESH UNDERWEAR WHILE I WAS THERE A NIGHTGOWN SLIPPERS SOCKS AND A COMFORTABLE COMING HOME OUTFIT FOR BABY I PACKED NEWBORN AND 0-3 IN CLOTHES 2 SWADDLES SOCKS MITTENS AND PACIFIERS

All you need is one bag! Depending on the hospital, they will supply you with everything! When I gave birth the hospital gave me: binkies, receiving blankets, shirts for baby, little shampoo bottle for baby, diapers for baby (and some thing like that for you), breast pump with bottles, and some other stuff you may need! So all you need in YOUR bag is: clothes for you and an outfit for baby to leave the hospital, hair ties, nipple cream (if you are breast feeding), snacks and drinks, brush, small shampoo and conditioner.

I only packed a going home outfit for my baby so she ended up just wearing diapers and swaddles for two days. Poor thing was so cold! Pack some cute baby pjs!!!

-lip balm -blanket -slippers & fuzzy socks -every shower product you use - going home outfit (recommend a jogger set) -pjs -hair elastics I also recommend bringing a whole case of either Powerade or Gatorade that shit will help so much after you give birth

Iv package few baby growns bids dummy pads for me vest for babies underwear nighty towel slippers shower stuff little ones nappies wraps mittens

chapstick and comfy warm pajamas
