Hi I am getting married on June 19th and wondering if you ever heard of taking birth control to stop your period for 1 month

Yes, it’s common to do so if you’re on the pill that has an ‘off’ period or placebo pill. You can also get a prescription for a pill just to delay your period for a week or so. Obviously not recommended as a long term option but it’s there if you need it.

Yeah! Drs can prescribe the pill to delay your periods. I used to do if I was due when I was travelling x

Yes you can use the pill to delay your period for 1 month it is perfectly safe to do so. Speak with your GP I am sure they will be happy to prescribe it for you.

I took norethisterone if I wanted to delay my period for a holiday or event or something. Worked a treat

Oh I used to do it all the time to delay my period if I had special plans!

You can actually get a pill from the doctor that's exactly for this kind of thing

I definitely took BC for a month to move my period away from my wedding day 🤷♀️

Yep if you're on the pill there's no reason to take a break, they only put it in to appease the Vatican when it was first invented (I kid you not!). As soon as I read this and researched it more I have been skipping the break quite often! If there's no need to bleed I won't choose to for the sake of it!

I did this for my husband's grandpa's funeral. Turns out I was 8 weeks pregnant...

Drs will give u tablets to delay I used them once when I was going on holiday abroad

Yeah, instead of taking the sugar pill break you just go right on to your next pack of birth control. I've never done it but heard lots of friends talk about doing it.

Drs prescribed me a pill when I had horse events on (cant remember what the pill was called) had to take 1, 3 times a day to stop my period x

If you skip the placebo week, it should stall your period. (If you're on the pill)

I always have period on Valentine’s Day, every year 😂

I was the same for my wedding. DR gave me a pill that prevented my period until I stopped taking it after my honeymoon. X

My period was due over my wedding; the gp gave me a pill - cannot remember the name - to take from the day due until I was ready to have my period
But you are on the contraception pill so it would only be a withdrawal bleed, not a period which is very different and the before mention is to stop period. I would still check with GP though as it can impact the reliability of the pill - unless you are wanting to conceive
