Yeah, tested positive for a second time. I was “worse” than last time but last time I was absolutely fine!! More of a heavy head cold tbh saline nasal spray helped and I was still able to function as normal xx

I tested positive at 22 weeks, it felt like bad flu for about 5 days then a stubborn kind of cold feeling for 1-2 weeks. I’m 28 weeks now and still feel a bit drained not sure if it’s long covid or pregnancy in general! Lots of rest, regular paracetamol and staying hydrated really helped me x

Avatar

I’ve got it right now and am turning 31 weeks tomorrow. Very anxious but at the moment it’s like a bad sinus injection with a cough. Praying it doesn’t get worse. Midwives are supportive x

Avatar

yes I did but I also wasn't to far along. my experience sucked but definitely could have been worse at once point i couldn't even get out of bed I was always coughing and had a fever and sore throat as well was like a cold but more

Avatar

Sorry I'm not pregnant, but I am wondering if this means your little one will be born with some immunity to COVID. If so, at least that would be one positive note. Hope you feel better soon.

Avatar

I had it at about 15 weeks. Had about 4 or 5 days of feeling like I had the flu but was fine after that. Just make sure you do nothing but rest and drink lots of fluids! Hope you don't get it bad x

Avatar

I have it just now at 24 weeks, it’s like a really bad flu / sinus infection. My breathing has been effected and I’ve also been really sick. Told my midwife last week and I’ve yet to hear back from her 🤷🏻‍♀️

Avatar

Hey everyone sorry to hear you’ve got it but glad that your all doing okay and not hospitalised 🤞🏼
I caught covid in Jan this year and it wasn’t bad at all (im 29 pretty fit and healthy no medical conditions etc).

I am a little apprehensive about catching it during pregnancy they say the last trimester is really risky if you catch it.
Can I ask has anyone had it before if so how long ago did you have it?
And last question do any of you who have caught it not have the vaccine???

Thanks 😊

Me and my partner tested positive last week. It’s a very bad cold/flu it floored me more than him. I’m going to be 31 weeks tomorrow.

Avatar

Also everyone that has had it… did your smell and taste come back?

Avatar

Glad to hear everyone posting on here said that they weren’t too poorly with it. I hope those who have just started getting symptoms that it is only mild and goes away soon! Thinking of you 🌺

Avatar

When I was 6 months, it was scary but honestly if I didn’t know it was COVID it literally felt like any other cold/flu. Just the coughing hurt more, it felt like I had shattered glass in my chest but nothing else I didn’t have a fever or anything thank God x

Avatar

I had it in my first trimester, I honestly felt like I was going to die for the first few days but I was also looking after my son who was about 10/12 weeks old. After the first few days it felt like a nasty cold - no complications in pregnancy either after

Avatar

I had it at 18 weeks. It was awful. I couldn’t get off the couch for days and suffered from terrible nausea, headaches, and loss of taste. My breathing didn’t seem to be affected though which was good. I felt sick on and off for weeks afterwards. Baby was fine though and it could have been so much worse.

Avatar

I had Covid when I was about 25 weeks pregnant. I unfortunately had all the symptoms. Fever, vomiting, headache, sore throat, body aches. I was really bad for a few days but then I farted getting better. I was just congested for a couple of weeks and lost my taste. But my baby was fine/is fine! My doctor said as long as baby is being active like normal then they are fine!

Avatar

I’m 18 week on Tuesday I’ve just got Covid I’ve got stuffy nose and head aches and pains in my throat and I’m struggling to breath a little bit, I’m very drained too

Avatar

I did when I was about 12 weeks pregnant. I honestly didn't even know I had it lol I tested positive for work (I'm a nurse so we were being tested every week at that time.) I thought I had a mild sinus infection until I lost my sense of smell and started to wonder if it was covid. But because of my respiratory history (I have the lungs of an 80 year old smoker I swear lol and I'm not a smoker) asthma/chronic bronchitis/double pneumonia that left scar tissue, I thought if I got covid especially while pregnant it would wreck me me send me to the hospital. So I was very shocked at how mild it was for me. I was more pissed because our last vacation was ruined and our Christmas was ruined and then I had to sit in our house bored for 2 weeks lol.

Avatar

I had it when I was about 4 months pregnant and it just felt like a sinus infection. I was fine after a few days!

Avatar

I had it at 14 weeks and the first 2-3 days were the worst of it… I had a lot of the symptoms (slight fever, chills, muscle aches, fatigue, diarrhea) show up out of nowhere while I was at work one day… then came the loss of appetite and coughing/congestion. Not being able to eat much also made me nauseous. Never lost my smell/taste though from what I could tell. After 10 days I was still a little tired but pretty much all my symptoms went away. I’m still hesitant on getting the vaccine until after baby is born in October.

Avatar

i had covid when i was 10 weeks and all i had was loss of smell & taste.

Avatar

I was so sick back in April. I was sick for over a month. The second Pfizer shot got me. I had a very mild case of covid. Was out of work for two weeks. Baby is okay she was moving like crazy when I went to the emergency room. It was miserable. I couldn’t talk for over a month

Avatar

I'm still getting over covid, its taking me a while. Im 21 +3. But I had my 20 week scan on Saturday, as I had to postpone due to being in isolation. I've felt awful but baby is absolutely fine

Avatar

I just tested positive. 18+3 and it’s bad. Started as just a bad cough but didn’t think I had it. I was wrong. Only place I had been was the hospital for a scare with baby.
This is like a flu on steroids, lost my taste today, breathing is hard (I have asthma) but I’m hanging in there.
I’ve had 1 shot so far. Was supposed to have the second last Friday, but that’s when I got sick and I was on bed rest for the nugget.

Avatar

I had covid at around 14 weeks.. I honestly didn’t even realize I had covid I thought it was just from being pregnant. I was really tired and achy and kind of felt like a bad allergy attack. I only los my taste and smell for a couple days. For me it wasn’t bad thankfully

Avatar

I had it right before I gave birth and obviously still had when I went into labor and it just felt like a really bad cold. It was kind of cool bc baby got the antibodies from my breast milk!! Just keep taking your prenatal vitamins and lots of water you should be good! Tylenol if you need it. Hope you feel better

Avatar

I had it when I was like 7 weeks and I got over it way quicker than my fiancé who also had it and I didn’t really notice bc I also had morning sickness and atleast now my baby has antibodies:) just eat super healthy water vitamins

Avatar

I tested positive when I was 8 months pregnant. I had a fever,my bones would hurt so bad, felt weak and tired. It was horrible for me I felt like I was dying. And I didn't even get to go to my appointments until I was 39 weeks pregnant.

Avatar

I had it around 24 weeks pregnant. I had flu symptoms and felt really ill and weak for around 3-4 weeks. I lost my taste and smell. Taste returned after about 4 weeks but smell took a good few months to return x

Avatar

I was exposed to covid on Tuesday while babysitting, I got a call Wednesday morning finding out the father tested positive for covid. I'm 19 and 2 today and I'm gonna go get tested. Haven't had any symptoms other than a lack of appetite but that could just be anxiety. Praying I don't have a positive result 🥴

Avatar

I’m just recovering from it now, 26 weeks and tested positive 2.5 wks ago. First 6 days weren’t too bad, just like a cold and I lost my smell and taste, then I started struggling with a tight chest and shortness of breath. I spent the night in A&E to get checked and get some drugs, just done my first course of antibiotics and am onto another. Have been feeling better each day for around 4 days now

Avatar

Getting tested today

Avatar

Yes I had Covid when I was 20 Weeks pregnant didn’t help that I had the whooping cough vaccine then got confirmed the next day so don’t know what was giving me symptoms. But my symptoms where flue like what I did was .

Drank lemons fresh and honey . Boiled the lemons then drink it twice a day

Had loads of oranges fresh

Eat loads of fruits cause lost appetite.

And rest I just let my body took over and slept .

Had baby now he is 1 month old and he is all okay picture for reference xx

Avatar

Yes! Tested positive around 28/29weeks, was poorly for around 2weeks, I’ve not had my vaccines (weirdly enough was sent my letter to book in whilst I had Covid so obvs had to wait 4wks post Covid before I can be vaccinated anyway) baby due in 5/6wks! My symptoms were coughing, sore throat, shortness of breath, shivering/sweating, cold like symptoms. No energy/really lethargic, lost my appetite, felt just really poorly.

Avatar

I had covid at 36 weeks and ended up in the icu for 8 days on 5 liters of oxygen. Other than needing oxygen I was fine and baby was fine!

Avatar

We’ve had it for a week now. It started with just a cough, but I’ve had a fever for 36 hours and it’s getting harder to breathe because each deep breath sends me into a coughing attack. My head feels like it’s going to explode, i can’t smell anything, and i can only taste fruit. Really hoping this passes soon because i am really trying to not go to the hospital.

Avatar

When mine went 38 and above that’s when I had issues. Glad the midwife is keeping you right x

Avatar

I tested positive for COVID when I was about 6 or 7 weeks pregnant. So very early on. I started with a dry cough which turned into full on being sick the next day. I felt awful, so sick, my voice sounded sick, I moved slower. In the following days I got a fever, pain in my chest of a couple days, my eyes really hurt like I had strained them badly. After about 5 days the symptoms went away.

Avatar

I tested positive for covid at 15 weeks (I’m now 18 weeks), the first day was horrible, 101.4 fever, bad body aches, headaches and congestion, I was super drained with no energy. After the first two days or so I started to feel pretty decent, the fatigue and congestion stayed for a bit but luckily I kept my taste and smell the whole time but completely lost my appetite which cause me to lose a few pounds, it’s slowly coming back but still not fully there. When I went to the doctor for a check up baby was fine so I felt much more at ease.

Avatar

I’ve just tested positive and am 5 weeks! Luckily my symptoms now aren’t too bad - cough and a bit of a sore throat. Hoping it stays that way as have been panicking about baby being okay as it’s so early on!👶🏼😞 xx

Avatar

I got Covid about the same time I got pregnant… was bedridden fpr a month with multiple visits to ER. Was too week to walk fpr 5 months and had to use a wheelchair. Today my LO is 8 months and seems fine. Please, God! Hope all is behind us

Avatar

Yes I did when I was 8 weeks pregnant. I only had 1 symptom (loss of taste/smell) for one day. It wasn't bad at all but it did require me to go to more ultrasounds and weekly NSTs towards the end. My son is 6 months now and he's perfectly healthy.

Avatar

My husband did, and I was sure I was positive too because we had been together, so I just stayed in quarantine with him. I was 26 weeks pregnant I had no symptoms but a mild headache and no energy. But that was me pregnant too!

I know for a fact now that I would have tested positive since I tested positive for antibodies ❤️

My child is perfectly healthy and came out that way . ❤️❤️

Avatar

Yeah, tested positive at 28 weeks, the first day of symptoms I felt really tired and drained, spent all day in bed sleeping and resting just achey and fatigued, then for the next couple days I just felt like I had the tail end of a cold! Lost my smell but no other ‘typical’ covid symptoms, I’m now 30+4 and I still have no smell but totally 100% in any other sense! X

Avatar

I had covid at 36 weeks literally 3 weeks before my c section at the time my son was very big and cramped inside a small space so he really couldnt move which would result in hospital monitoring almost nightly (it got to the point i knew the nurses and they knew me and they already knew why i was there i even remember their names 😂) we (husband and i ) would be put into a zero pressurized room when i went for monitoring i lost my sense of taste and smell it sucked i lost my appetite for not being able to taste anything but i forced myself to eat anyway by the time my C section came i was covid negative and so was my son when he was born (i knew i had covid when my husband brought home a cookie and i couldnt taste it and demanded to get tested)

Avatar

I tested positive rest and take it easy all will be well

Avatar

I tested positive around week 12. Felt like a head cold.

Avatar

I did, but no symptoms! Gave birth whilst positive and my baby was negative so no problems for him either.

Avatar

I tested positive for COVID-19 in January when I was 4 months pregnant I was truly terrified because I had 2 losses in the past but It ended up being okay and in the end it gave the baby antibodies and that will protect your baby ! My baby is now 7 weeks old and healthy ❣️

Avatar

Did y’all take the vaccine though?

Avatar

My doctor said 80% of pregnant women in ICU with Covid whose babies were effected were all unvaccinated. I am 21 weeks and am surrounded by people who test positive, but thankfully I have not gotten it.
