Need advice

I am currently 10 weeks pregnant and I’m on Ei. I was working for Air Canada when I got laid off in February due to low volume calls from covid 19. I’m desperately looking for a job since my benefits end in February and my baby is due in April and I have no idea what I will do for money If I can’t get on maternity leave. I also don’t have a partner .. He left when I found out I was pregnant and keeping it. And I already have a son. He’s almost 2.. anybody with any advice would be greatly appreciated!

Hi Shyla! So sorry, I can imagine that must be tough ☹ Did you contact Service Canada at all regarding options for financial assistance beyond EI unemployment for when the baby is born? Service Canada I believe also may be able to provide you further guidance re. supports for job search services etc. What province are you in btw? sending you hugs 💕
