Baby Shower isn’t he Age of Covid!

Hi! I’m 20 weeks and am struggling about how I should handle a baby shower. I’ve been trying to be super careful (I am vaccinated but just worried!). I’m due in the beginning of March, and wonder if an early January shower is wise. Or if doing it in November or something where we could potentially be outside more in New England is a better idea or if that’s too early. Just looking for some outside input! Thanks!

I am due January 9th and had the same concerns. I am in Toronto, so similar weather I think. I opted to have a few smaller showers with people I trust, and am doing them early (2 in October, 1 in November) so that people can be outside and everyone feels more comfortable.

Choosing delivery date

I am having a c section and my doctor has provided two delivery dates. One of them falls on my husbands bday. We are in disagreement bc he wants a shared bday with our daughter. I don’t want them to have the same bday bc I want her to have her own special date. Also future kids might be upset they don’t have a shared bday. Idk what to do. Any advice?

Induction!

Hey there!! Currently in hospital to get induced, been here since 1120am monday (22nd) I first had the pesserie insertion and after those 24h I dialated on the outside of cervix only by 1cm. So they then tried the dilapan rods insertions, they didnt use a speculum for that and it was the MOST uncomfortable thing ever! It litteraly pinched me or something! Idk what happened! It was that painful and uncomfortable that I burst out crying like I have never cried before! I hated it! So ive been given some time to think and i decided to try again but with Gas and Air, in the delivery suite to use the things to prop up my legs, and then the speculum too!! Just wondering if anyone else has had a similar experience?! Or what are your guys' experience with the same induction types!?

Baby came home today 🥵

I had an emergency c section Monday morning and i bought baby boy home today.
My house is sitting at 30-34 degrees and I'm terrified of him overheating. Any suggestions?
We have fans going and windows open to move the air about but it's just not cutting it.
Also any suggestions on getting in and out of bed post c section would be helpful 🙂 feels like my belly is a zorb ball and my womb is a sandbag inside it 😵‍💫
Picture of him for tax 💙

Diarrhoea & vomiting

I’m 36w + 1d and I’ve just had vomiting and a bout of diarrhoea. This is my third pregnancy and I never had any vomiting with the other two just diarrhoea a couple of weeks before delivery. Wondering if this has happened to anyone else or if I’m coming down with gastro?
