Private Hospital Birthing confusion! Which one is best?
Hey ladies!
Struggling to figure out which private hospital will be best to go to. I was recommended St Vincent’s but upon some research I am leaning toward Francis Perry. I’ve already been ER early pregnancy there and the feminine energy of the Royal Women’s was so nice.
Does anyone know if either ‘hurry’ you through natural labour? Or if they have all birthing tools at hand?
I don’t want forceps or a suction. I’m ok with a CSection if 100% necessary, but I’d prefer not.
This is more up to my OB isn’t it?

I went through Frances Perry with all three of my pregnancies and loved it. My OB Huon O Sullivan is super quirky but very low intervention and very pro hypnobirthing and my experience with each of my pregnancies with him was lovely - I can’t recommend him enough
Hi Monique, I did a bit of research and chose frances perry. Don't know if it was the best choice yet as I'm expecting my first baby in June. But I hope you have landed in a hospital you really like and with an OB that is making you feel comfortable and supported 😊
I haven’t started thinking about this yet, due in July so very early but useful to see this thread now! I think I would need to check with BUPA which private hospitals are covered and then do some research. I’ll post on here when I find some useful info!
I’d honestly go public with Royal women’s, I was going to go private but public has such better statistics for natural non-invasive vaginal births. They are also more equips for if things go wrong and have an amazing nicu if Bub needs some help
