Bleeding through pregnancy.

Hey mamas to be and mums. Did any of you experience bleeding from the first weeks of pregnancy until second trimester?
I’m currently still having this issue and wanted to see more advices for it. Sometimes the blood type affect as I am B- negative. Can’t wait to hear your experience 🙏

Hey Valentina! I myself am not having this issue and have not had it at all in my Pregnancy (currently 31 weeks along) However, my sister in law had the same issue all through her pregnancy. Her blood type is the same as yours, more importantly she was told it was most likely because she was Rhesus negative, like you are as well. She however went on to have a healthy little girl at 37weeks pregnant. I hope this gives you some sort of comfort, even though I cannot share more information from experience. xx

Also a negative blood group. I had on/ off bleeding from week 18- 32. I had something called an ectropian which is changes to the cells on my cervix. Nothing that was to do with the baby- likely to be just hormonal changes. I did have to have lots on anti b injections though because of my negative blood group.

I bled through my pregnancy until about 29 weeks and they could never determine the reason. They said it’s most likely due to hormone levels being high and sometimes it can just happen. X

I bled at 7.5 weeks. Went to see a consultant and was thoroughly checked and told sometimes it just happens and there's no reason 🤷‍♀️ I was told to avoid sex until it stopped (which it did after a little while) and hasn't happened since.

Hi Valentina, I also have a negative blood type and spotted twice - once at 5 weeks and another at 13 weeks. I’m now 31 weeks pregnant. My doctor advised me to stop working out and stay clear of caffeine until I hit week 20. Your doctor may want you to come in for an ultra sound to make sure everything is okay as I did that when this happened to me earlier on. Wish you the best.

Hi lovely! I had bleeding from 10 weeks until around 15 weeks, at my 12 week scan the sonographer found a haemorrhage and said it should heal itself before my next scan, thankfully I stopped bleeding a few weeks ago and feeling a little more settled! I have a positive blood group. A lot of people have bleeding, however you should report any bleeding to your midwife. Hope you’re okay xx

My blood type is negative and I have experienced spotting/ bleeding all the way up to 16 weeks, I've had 3 scans and so far there is no explanation for it. I've been reassured that this can happen and as long as its not filling a pad within an hour/causing pain severe enough to take paracetamol then it's not necessarily anything to be concerned about. It can be very disconcerting though! Hope you're OK xxx

I experienced spotting throughout my whole pregnancy, I now have a happy & healthy baby girl who is 7 months old! I have a- blood & was told it could be from that, or sometimes it just happens. Still so scary though! Sending positive thoughts 🤍
