Been trying to conceive for over two years with no luck - have had numerous tests and it’s been concluded it could be linked to a low AMH level, does anyone have any experience with this?

After 2 years I also only just found out I have a lower level too, it’s around 12/13, but still told I may still be ok for natural conception. Does seem strange they do they test last.

I have been trying to conceive for 2 years and i was informed last April i had Low AMH at 0.6, but still had chance to conceive naturally and if didn't within 6 months to go through IVF. However i got told in Oct i was also going through early menopause. So i will be going through IVF in April. Best of luck.

I had low AMH too. 5.9, dropped to 3.6. AMH is purely an indicated of your egg reserve, the lower the number, the lower the eggs. It doesn't tell you what quality they are. You could do IVF and get a low number of eggs but they could be top notch. Personally I wouldn't wait to naturally conceive, I'd get in the system now as things take forever, if you conceive in the meantime great. I was told in could keep going naturally and 7 years later we plumped for donor eggs. Dont wait, get going with plan b. I was too hopeful for too long and have to date done 7 rounds of fertitly treatment. This will sound harsh but if this is something you really want, dont wait, the waiting will drive you nuts get treatment booked in and live you life in the meantime xx

We have MFI which led to us doing ivf last year. Unfortunately we are back to square 1 hoping to try again this year, and my AMH has dropped from 13.7 to 4.7 in a year. The advice we have is that naturally it doesn’t affect conception as you only produce 1 egg a month, however you will be classed as a poor responder to IVF as your body will struggle to produce multiple eggs in response to IVF drugs. It’s not related to egg quality though 🙌🏼🌈🤞🏼

Yes low ovarian reserve

I have low AMH mine is 1.75. In relation to what I couldn’t tell you. But they said that my only option was egg donation but did allow us to try IVF which we did. We have had two rounds the first being cancelled mid cycle due to me not responding to the stimulation medication. I was told I’d probably only get 1-2 follicles. Which I did through the the second round of IVF and a different approach with the medication. Both follicles had eggs in them and both fertilised. One made it to a top grade embryo however the other one didn’t develop as it should. I’ve had the one that made it transferred back. And now I’m waiting to do my pregnancy test later on this week. So don’t give up hope. Just because you have a low AMH not all is lost and remember it only takes 1 💕
