Baby rash?

Anyone know what this rash could be. My gps don’t seem concerned and just dismissed me the other day when I asked for something to soothe it, it seems to get progressively worse everyday, it’s on his chest, back of neck and under his armpits now. The prescribed me some dermol lotion as I said I wasn’t happy leaving with no answer as they what it could be I think just to shut me up. We used that after bath time last night and it’s come up like this today.

Have you tried a pharmacy? They can prescribe things for mild ailments. It may be that one look at the rash they’ll be able to suggest something for you.

I would get a second opinion because you don’t want to let it go on for too long if it something more serious

Try using pure coconut oil on it , but I would keep on at your GP x

It’s a hormonal thing. Once your hormones in your breast milk calm down, so will his skin x

I have the same issue..i am breast feeding and gp just had one look and said eczema..and gave steroid. But it clears but comes back. I have tried so many natural oils, nothing has worked. Does anyone think if i stop breastfeeding it will work??

I breastfed my daughter from day 1, nothingike this appeared. Ask for a second opinion and if you can change GP cause ots absolutely disgusting what they are doing honestly.

My daughter has a rash (VERY similar to this) apparently it’s very common in newborns/infants it’s called Erythema Toxicum. Although you baby might have something different, if baby doesn’t see bothered by it, I’d leave it alone until it clears. I was advised to not put anything on it (creams/oils)

Looks like my little boy when he was younger and it was baby acne and eczema, zerobase helped clear it up and was use Aveeno to keep on top of it. His eczema was caused by a cows milk allergy rather than hormones x

I’d take him to a&e my doctors are quite bad tbh and will dismiss things all the time. I either go to out of hours doctors at the hospital who are extremely good or to a&e. My doctors told me my daughter just had a sore throat when she wasn’t eating and thinking but she was not herself at all. Took her to the out of hours at the hospital and they straight away said she had tonsillitis and prescribed medicine there and then and she’s been getting so much better. Couldn’t imagine what would happen if I just listened to the doctors originally. Mums gut is always right. I’d get him checked out again hun and not leave until you get a proper answer. X

Could it be your laundry detergent or dryer sheets?

It could just be baby acne but could also be a cows milk allergy if baby has any other symptoms? X

Could he cow's milk protein allergy. What formula is he on?

Looks like baby acne, comes around 3/4 weeks completely normal and shouldn’t last much longer. Sudocrem should help keep the skin clean.

I had similar issue. It went when I stopped using products on her face. I was using baby wash to clean her face during baths and the cream after the bath.
Now I wash her face with just water and no creams.
Her skin is great now x
