Need Help/ ideas/ anything
I have a 4 year old daughter and she has got to the point where she is exploring her body. She always has her hand down her pants, none stop.. how do I get her to stop. It's everytime I turn around, I am having to telling her to get her hand out of her pants. I am to the point I can't anymore, it's not doing anything. She just continues to do it, no matter who is around... I know it's a phase in life, for kids to do this. But I didn't realize girls was this bad.
She could have a uti or a yeast infection 😥 My daughter would do this & it wasn't till I asked if she was itchy that she finally said something. If it's not a medical issue, or sexual abuse related- just reassure her that it's completely normal to explore your body but its something that you only do when you are alone. I had to explain to my daughter that I wasnt mad & that she is normal for doing that but we have to be safe about it (e.g. clean hands, & a place to be alone) you are doing great mama! Don't worry too much! Masturbation is considered self soothing for toddlers, not sexual gratification. She will grow out of it soon! Positive reinforcement will go a long way! Good luck! ❤️
