How many allergens did you cut?
Hi all!
My LO is 3 1/2 months old and was just diagnosed MSPI about a week ago (although she’s had symptoms since a few weeks old). I’ve cut cow dairy (which I was already 95% avoiding) and soy since then and still no improvement other than no more visible blood in her diaper. She’s still very fussy, diarrhea with mucous, spitting up, upset after feeding, etc.
I’m wondering how many of you decided to cut out more than just those two allergens and if that made a difference? I of course want my baby to be all better but it’s of course a big deal to cut out all top 8 allergens. And I’m assuming dairy and soy are the most common.
I realize I’m also being impatient since it could take at least 2 weeks to see improvement in her digestion. It just sucks seeing her so upset!
milk proteins stay in your body for 2 weeks at least, so it can take up to 3 to start seeing improvement in your baby. give it some more time before cutting out other things
