Ring of Fire
Ladies, whilst the trauma is fresh in the mind (😂) Can you describe what you personally think it felt like?
I laboured relatively quietly I think🤣Just on gas and air. However, my last few pushes of his head I very much was shouting at my lovely encouraging midwives “My fucking clit is going to split into two!!”
I was honestly convinced, it was awful and I was having quick flash visions of never having an orgasm again lol and it panicked me and was making me resistant to power through.
Now…seeing as I escaped with one very minor internal graze and I do infact still have a clit with full feeling, I’ve come to the conclusion this must’ve been the ring of fire.
If it’s relatively common to feel like this and I knew that, I wouldn’t have feared it so much and could’ve grounded myself better.
I’d love to know how it felt for others!!!!

Haha I love how you worded this post 😂 I had my baby boy this morning in the birth pool. I felt the same! Like I was going to tear in half! 1st degree tear near my urethra which is so much more comfortable than my second degree tear last time that needed lots of stitches.
I would describe it as feeling like you're a champagne bottle waiting for the cork to pop out.
Just did this (like 3 hours ago 😂😂) and I have to say it crossed my mind that it felt like pushing a bowling ball out of my fanny. She was only 7lb 10oz too 😂😂
Yes I felt exactly this 🤣 I was in the birthing pool as well and it genuinely did feel like it was going to split… mad!! 🤣
😂 I had my baby on the 23rd and felt exactly the same. I didn’t have a water birth as I arrived at hospital fully dilated and gave birth within 40minutes of arriving.
It was excruciating, but no stitch needed, so a much better recovery afterwards than I had with my first x
Woahh, ring of fire happens in the pool too? Everything I've been told has been a lie 🤣
"Oh cos of the water you'll hardly feel that bit" etc...

I’m crying🤣🤣 I said exactly the same except I said my fucking clit is ripping🤣🤣 I’m glad I’m not the only one who came out with them exact words lol. I have it all to come again soon lol. Hope you recover well xx
Me too!! I was gas and air only, on the bed, and screaming “somethings wrong! Somethings wrong!” As it felt like my urethra was splitting in two! I ended up with a second degree perineal tear and labial laceration. 3 weeks pp and the stitches look good and not too painful anymore
Now I’m scared 😩😩😩😩
This made me giggle. I just had a water birth at home 6 hours ago and this is EXACTLY how in would describe it! Not like i’d call it a ring of fire as that sounds to me like just your vagina being sore but it was like the head came out and was grazing all my more delicate bits higher up! Gave me the motivation to just get her out asap cos it was like a cheese grater on my labia!!
