Mine felt like period/has cramps and they came every 5 min and once they started getting closer like 3-2min apart they felt like horrible period cramps

I had back labor with both of my girls. I never felt the “ normal” contractions that happen in the abdomen. Wonder if that’s what you are experiencing. Best of luck mama

When mine first started it felt liked the pressure from period cramps. They were every 5 minutes so we went to the hospital and get sent home because I didn’t dilate any more than a 3. That night they got worse. As gross as it sounds, it felt like I had to shit really really bad. Lol

When in doubt, call the dr! There’s never a dumb question when is comes to a safe delivery. ♥️

With my second I had Braxton Hicks contractions for months, but the real contractions I could feel more in my back.
Good luck!!!

I think the best rule of thumb is if you don’t have to stop and breathe they really can be ignored for a while. You can go with the 5-1-1 ( contractions every 5 mins lasting 1 min for 1 hour) rule but if they aren’t strong and causing you to stop and breath through them the timing doesn’t really matter.

My mom’s mantra is if a hot bath or shower doesn’t make them stop, it’s time to go to the hospital. Usually if you put your hand on the top of your bump during a contraction, you can fee it getting tight and then releasing. I had back labor with my first and have had lots of back contractions with this one, and that just feels like terrible lower back pain, but should be accompanied by that tightening feeing in the front, even if it’s small. Good luck, mama!

Sounds like you may be having back labor. That’s how it was for me. When you feel it’s so painful you can’t find anything to make it better it’s the real thing.

Ummmm mine felt like I had to poop😂😂😂😂 Literally. By the time I realized what was happening and got to hospital I was about 6 cm dilated, and baby came out very soon after. This was my most recent pregnancy.

Edit: had the feeling every few mins, so i had my contraction app timer on until we arrived at hospital.
Good luck to u!

I always knew mine were real with all seven because the real ones started in my back and traveled round to the front.
