Do you put a hat on baby's head when you go out in the sun?

i use bucket hats from amazon but i have a mini stroller fan as well that keeps baby cool .

Yes! Always try to protect baby from the sun. Make sure she has cool water and some cold fruit purée. I do but he takes it off and then he can’t see anything and is sad 😅

When I was baby wearing him I’d wear a huge sunhat to give him some shade, when he separates from me then yes I put a hat on him, usually one that matches with his bathers if he is swimming/splashing

Yes always a hat and sunscreen (over 6 mos)! Sun damage is cumulative over your lifetime, and my mom constantly has skin cancer removed from her face, first diagnosed at age 40! Now at age 59, she’s all scarred up all over her hairline/forehead, it’s awful. I don’t mess around with the sun, for myself or my baby.

We do its a bit of a battle to keep it on, but I've found if you distract her with something else she forgets about it. We have a normal sun hat for when shes in the pram and if we are holding her on in the sling a bucket type that covers her neck

What if your child doesn't like hats what would you mamas advise iv even tried sunglasses an nope doesn't like anything on his head. Wish there a shampoo thats like a suncream as my son has alot of hair.

Yes a cotton bonnet covers her head and protects her eyes and face as a back up but i always keep her in the shade whenever possible. 4 months old

My son is 14 weeks and I do put a sunhat always and only sometimes sunscreen because sometimes we just sit on the porch and wonder around our yard and outside our house as we have a big backyard and private front yard (from the Street you can't see into our home, you can only see the driveway)
