Lake safety- help!! I'm taking my 4 year old to the lake for the first time this weekend and am conflicted about whether I should get a life vest or stick with what she's got currently (see pic).
The floatie vest she has currently has a safety buckle in the back to where it can't be taken off without an adult and she feels comfortable in it. I'm afraid if I get her a normal life vest she's gonna panic and feel like she's going to go under. Its very secure and i dont thibk theres anyway it would slip off. She doesn't jump into water or go too crazy so I'm conflicted whether to just stick with this one or get a life jacket. Thoughts anyone?

If she’s just playing in the water on the lake shore I’d say this would probably work! But if you’re going boating or deep into the water she needs an actual life jacket:)
