18 month old

Out of curiosity here, has anyone had a toddler that they’ve breastfed and coslept to sleep since birth that have started sleeping longer during the night by themselves and weaned a bit on their own? My toddlers sleep is absolutely dreadful. She used to sleep 2 hours in the day, and it’s a constant struggle, I’ve tried to follow her own routine and no matter what I can’t quite get it. Wakes at 7 most days, gets tired around half 10 (I’ve tried to stretch it closer to 12 but doesn’t happen) and wakes an hour and a half later. No matter what I try she will refuse a second nap and has done for months which leads to complete overtiredness at bedtime, which I’ve had to move forward most days to accommodate her. Guess I’m just looking for hope that she will eventually sleep😂

Breastfed to sleep every time, co slept whenever she wakes up. She’s 2.5 years old now and does sometimes sleep through!

They all do things their own way - impossible to compare. Sounds like an earlier bedtime is what she needs! I wouldn’t consider 7am early 😅 but everyone’s interpretation is different. One 1.5 hour nap for her age sounds sensible and what’s in the ‘normal’ range. Completely normal for toddlers to keep waking at night - weaned or not. We have co-slept since the beginning and my 2 year old sometimes sleeps through, sometimes doesn’t. I find the more you just accept and go with the flow as much as you can, the better. And definitely stop comparing 😊
