/thc question

Hi everyone! I have an important question… I am 30 weeks pregnant and have been using thc to help fight my HG ( I don’t smoke everyday) in the beginning of pregnancy I lost over 30 pounds and still struggle to put back the weight on. I’m scared that cps might get involved if they find thc in my system…. Has anyone had to deal with drug testing at birth??

I don’t smoke heavy just a couple of hits that make me feel good enough to eat… I find it very helpful more than the pills my doctor prescribed me. I’m just so worried because I am a young and I feel like they will try to test me because of it. All my appointments my doctor has said the baby is healthy… should I stop 🍃 at 31 weeks?

Nah... Not in Canada as far as I'm aware. My doc knew I smoked throughout my pregnancy, no issue

@Michele thank you for replying cause I’m really scared cause I’m just 19 n I feel they will target me because of my age… but I plan on going to a birth Centre so I hope things are not bad

@Sara wow really?? I’m so afraid to tell my doctor but I did tell her in the beginning I was using a bit and she told me just don’t do it all the time and the bay will be fine

@Kela well I don't sleep or even eat much without it so she was ok with a massive reduction in how much I was using so I would rest and eat. But I never lie about using with doctors cause we're lucky to be in Canada, far more accepting here of people's addictions

@Sara true true I would never lie but I just never brought it up again and she never mentioned it either… I’m acc now switching OB to midwives and Idek if I should tell them ?

@Kela well from my own experience I think you'll be fine and so will your baby so really it's whether or not they make you feel comfortable enough to say so. If they ask I would most definitely be honest but I wouldn't stress about it too much love, especially if you have had a healthy pregnancy so far
