Alcohol while TTC š»
Iāve just started TTC and itās hard to find any concrete information out there about drinking while TTC.
Iāve cut down from my usual intake but not sure if I should be cutting it out completely.
Perhaps during the 2 week wait?
I donāt know... anyone else had this dilemma?
Also interested to know if your partner/husband cut down too.

thank God, I'm drinking a glass of wine on the sofa now and I can now fully enjoy it š
I think itās one of those things that people are divided about. Some doctors say not to, some say just not during the tww, and some say you can drink until itās pink! The two times Iāve conceived (one live birth) Iāve been a little tipsy on conception night. Not smashed but definitely more relaxed. So I think itās really down to what you think will help you not be stressed.
Personally I donāt drink during the TWW but thatās just me and what I feel comfortable doing. I think wherever you are in your cycle as long as you donāt ever overdo it, stay hydrated, take your vitamins and mind your general health itās fine to have a glass of wine or whatever your tipple from time to time.
I took the view that it could take us some time to conceive so I had decided that I would have a drink when I wanted in moderation, didnāt want to be stressing over every little thing. I had a glass or two one evening during the TWW & we ended up conceiving that month. Best of luck, enjoy the wine!
I have friends who got pregnant and they never stopped drinking and I went fully sober and been trying for over 2 years and now referred to ivf, what I mean by that is if itās meant to be it will be so just do what feels right for you and gives you peace of mind. Best of luck on this journey
My hubbys cut it out almost completely. Less than 10 pints and a bottle of wine all year! I just avoid during the 2ww. I smoke too so such a struggle!
Itās down to the person I think, at first I stopped drinking around a week before my period was due, but I conceived in July and we went cold Turkey on the booze and fags and we conceived. But i think its more of s what will be will be situation xxx
I was under influence while I ovulated and conceived
I donāt think it has anything to do with it honestly coming for a person like me who thought they would have a hard time having kids
I have conceived while drunk
So I literally never drink, and I have been drinking every weekend this past month as it's the end of the summer and lots of family events. And I finally just got my bfp š should I be worried? Of course I won't be drinking anymore but I'm so stressed
