Bedtime

Please tell me what your bedtime routine is like . Does your child still take naps ? Do they sleep in a crib / toddler bed / co sleep ? My daughter was sick about 3 weeks ago and we got off of our routine. Ever since bedtime has been a complete nightmare it doesn't matter if I skip nap / she takes a nap it's still a nightmare. She refuses to go to bed , it's one more book , I need something ect. It takes anywhere from 45 minutes to 90 minutes to get her to fall asleep and she still ends up waking up in the middle of the night to be recovered up or her back rubbed or something.

We don’t really have a bedtime routine. I have 2 littles our December baby and her 1 year old sister. They both take about 1 nap a day. It could range from 20 minutes to 2 hours. Just really depends on them. We don’t put them down for a nap we just let them fall sleep whenever they’re tired. Unfortunately our oldest still sleeps in our bed 😩 our youngest is in her toddler bed but in our room.

We were dealing with this after we co-sleep with COVID. I was a wreck after, it was non stop crying if I didn't give him another hug, song, water, whatever. I made a bedtime chart and let him cross it off. Example diaper, pj's, brush teeth, books, song, water, potty, bed. So he gets to cross them off and knows what's next. And I had to start cutting it off, 2 water sips and no more. It got a little harsh but I would always tell him I love him and good night. It took about 3-5 days and we were back on schedule Forgot to mention he only naps at school so nap days at 6am-730p. Non nap day is 6a-7pm

Mine sleeps in a toddler bed (crib turned toddler bed). I still put him down for a nap. He naps for 1 to 2 hours. Lately it's been 1 hour. At night we do brush teeth, bath, songs on YouTube, books, potty, bed and while in bed with lights out I tell him two verbal made up stories then he want to ask a million questions and tell me how the stories go. We start bed time between 7 and 7:30. He hasn't fell asleep before 8 in a while now. It's more like 9 😖 I don't know what to do. I feel like this change in bed time happened when we went to my nieces graduation and he was up way past his bed time. He used to be asleep by 7:30-8. My husband says to stop naps but I'm not ready lol. I'm 29 weeks pregnant and like to nap too some days and he falls asleep for nap within 20 minutes so 🤷‍♀️ idk. He wakes between 6 and 7:30 but usually 6:30 is the sweet spot. He will wake up in the middle of the night sometimes but is usually good at going back to sleep when I go into his room.

My daughter is almost 3 and for a while now she wakes by 7. Usually 6:30am and doesn’t nap. We bring her to sleep around 7:30pm and she falls asleep right away. She will wake once maybe to join us in bed and that is her normal routine.

Baby boy sleeps through the night til about 7:30/8am. Bedtime starts at 7pm- clean up toys, bathe, brush teeth, diaper, Jammies, book, pray, bed! He’s in a twin bed since June, he’s 2 will be 3 in December. We got him out of his crib into a twin bed with a tent this year! He’s been in his own room since he was about 4/5 months.
