I read this quote today:“Perhaps if tearful little boys were comforted instead of shamed there wouldn’t be so many angry men struggling to express and empathize with emotions.” ~ Lelia Scholl and it really reasoned with me. As a boys mom I want him to be able to express his emotions and feels valid ❤️

This is why i hate the phrase “stop crying, you’re a big boy” or anything similar. “Big boys” can cry too!
And the irony that to be considered strong, they have to hide their emotions, when in reality, it takes great strength to learn to manage one's emotions regardless of gender but especially when being shamed for it🫶🏻
