Absolutely! I'm 36 and find it really hard to bond with other mums. Always feel like a black sheep

Yep 39, one son, not many friends following my divorce. Even the school mums don’t make an effort with me.

Same. I’m 32. Moved about a lot when I was free spirited. Had loads of “mates” now Iv moved and settled (more). It’s definitely harder to find connections with people.

Same. For me it's maybe my neurodivergence, but also people's experiences are so varied these days, nobody has the same roots and it just divides us so much, I guess. I feel the same. Though I go to lots of baby groups, I've been unable to really make any friends. Everyone seems so much younger than me (i'm 38), and I seem uncapable of making any real connections. Also, although I've lived in the UK for 15 years, I'm originally from Spain, and I always feel terrified my accent puts people off talking to me, makes me freeze and unable to make friends. Feel it used to be easier when younger (and with a couple of pints at the pub 😜)

@Loles I've just seen this and I feel exactly the same way! I grew up in Spain and only moved over here, met my (spanish) partner and had our son in the last 2 and a bit years, I feel more Spanish than English and find it hard making new connections, where are you based? Me encantaría quedar para hacer cualquier cosa (con cerve también si viene al caso jajaja)
