Sorry not much advice. Not even sure how anyone gets to band A tbh.
Sorry it’s all waiting really I was band B and on it for over 3 years x
My mum was band A for severe over crowding. There was my mum & her partner with my 2 brothers & sister in 1 bedroom (brothers were 8&4, sister was 6) me & my daughter with my partner in another bedroom (i was 24 and my daughter was 2) and my sister with her baby in the other room (sister was 19 and her baby was a newborn). They were rank over 20. I ended up moving out & private renting just to give space to my mum. They told her even though she was band A and considered a priority, band A also covers people whos house has been damaged by flooding & fire so they would understandably come first. We was all like sardines. We would have the use the kitchen in shifts to cook dinner. It was crazy. Have you looked into private renting & asking UC to help with rent?
I am in the the same situ. Band b. 7 of us living in 3 bedroom. Been on it for two years. And still over 20. I’ve tried contacting them directly and outside charity’s but no one able to help or move things forwards.
