Dummy problem 🙈👶

My little one is almost 2.5 years and seems to be getting more and more attached to his dummy... Please can someone let me know how to stop using it! Pleaseeee And I know it's gonna be hard for both of us but it's time to say bye bye to dummy :(

This is our dilemma at the moment, little one has threw about 2 dummys in the bin and said she's a big girl but then has found two she has hidden. We might go completely cold turkey and just take it away but I feel I would give in after so long if she didn't settle for us. Following as want to see other people's responses

Cold turkey It took us 2.5 days and never asked for it again, it’s over a year ago now

I know it’s just me but can someone explain what’s Cold turkey 😅
