15 hours free childcare

Hi guys, I’m on a career break to look after the kiddos, so we aren’t entitled to 30 hours funded/free childcare. My understanding is that all 3 year olds get 15 hours as a standard and we don’t need to apply. Is that right?? We went through the 30 hours application and got turned down as although I am still technically employed, I’m not expected to earn any money over the next few months. Tia x

Yes, this is what I tried and was declined for x

Yes I don’t work enough currently to get the 30 hours and speaking to my girls nursery the other day they said there’s nothing to apply for , for the 15 hours it’s just automatically done.. might be a idea to just mention to the nursery that you’ll be using the 15 hours from whatever term and will be on X & X days , just so they’re aware ! When I spoke to the people about the 30 hours they said whenever I work over the 16 hours I can apply for it and then it’ll start the next full term☺️ x

Oh fair enough. Yes I spoke to her nursery and she will get the 15 hours from the start of next term (summer) so from 17th of April. X
