I red that there's thing around 5 months with their feeding so that could be it. Not to sound silly but is he definitely hungry and not anything else? (I'm assuming he's crying after a feed) You could try power pumping to up your supply. Make sure your well hydrated and fed...easier said than done with a baby I know! I was exclusively pumping until a week ago but back to combi feeding now. To get my supply up initially I pumped every 2 hours for a few weeks but that was earlier on. You could probably try it for a couple of days and see if that helps.
Just another thing aswell is that the nest way to up supply is baby and you may not get as much from pumping as baby feeding. Just incase your not pumping a lot and you think that's a reflection on your supply. Baby is just more efficient than a pump x
It’s normal to not express much milk if you’re EBF. Staying hydrated is a game changer, I drink so much water and my milk is constantly leaking!
Sorry to hear, I just had a week of low supply and got it back up through: * Very frequently putting LO on the boob * Pumping between 4-6pm when my supply was lowest. Even if nothing comes out, it suggests demand on the boob to create more milk * Eating and drinking regularly * And then there's all sorts of believes what foods help increase supply. I drank fennel tea and the supermalt drink (sugary drink, not beer)
Are you giving him any food already, like puree or porridge? Or have you considered trying that? I know the main calorie intake should still be by milk but maybe some food would bring it up to enough calories 🤔 just a suggestion though.. No experience with that yet as my boy is only 4 month 😅
